| Memorial Day Commissioning Ceremonies - May 26 |
Join us for the traditional flag-raising signifying the start of our yachting season on Monday, May 26th. Members and their families are invited to join the Commodore Lynn & Mary Lazzaro at the flag pole at 4:00PM when the Commissioning Ceremonies officially begin. Our CYC Chorus will perform and complimentary refreshments will be served on the Porch.
Festivities are under the direction of Fleet Captain James H. Busch. Come to the Club and enjoy boating, dining and fun for all!
The Porch and Marine Terrace will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Memorial Day Weekend.

| Power Fleet Cruises |
May 30-31 - Mentor Harbor Cruise: We are gearing up for the first cruise of 2008 to Mentor Harbor. Our Cruise Skippers, Jerry & Jan Nagy, have planned a fun weekend beginning Friday night with a cookout on the island followed by dinner and entertainment in the clubhouse Saturday evening.
June 18-19 - Put in Bay Cruise to Crew's Nest: Next month we are heading west to Put in Bay. Cruise Skippers, Bill & Gail Wechter invite you to join them June 18-19 at the Crew's Nest for two days of fun and good times. Wednesday we will enjoy pizza & refreshments at Frosty's and on Thursday night cocktails on the patio at the Crew's Nest.
June 20-21 - Cedar Point Cruise: From Put in Bay, we travel to the Cedar Point Marina June 20-21. We have dock reservations on Pier 11, which is close to the park entrance, showers, marina store and restaurant. In addition to signing up with the CYC desk, you must call Cedar Point Marina to confirm your reservation with a credit card - identify yourself as part of the CYC group. Our reservations are being held by Cedar Point until June 4. Mike & Christine Banks have agreed to skipper the Cedar Point Cruise again this year and have planned a dock party on Friday night and donuts on Sunday before we head to CYC. You have all day Saturday to enjoy Cedar Point.

| Battle of Lake Erie Walleye Tournament - June 27th |
The Fishing Fleet hosts the infamous Battle of Lake Erie Walleye Tournament on June 27th and 28th. Interested anglers of all experience are encouraged to participate in this one-of-a-kind event!
On Friday, there will be a Captain's meeting and registration, followed by dinner on the Porch and a Calcutta-style event in the Commodores' Bar. Then on Saturday there will be a Bimini start off the mouth of the river with up to four anglers per boat vying for the five largest walleyes. An awards ceremony caps off the event.

The Wet Hens sailors invite any interested women to join them on the second Wednesday of each month during the months of November to June at the CYC Clubhouse between 6:00PM and 6:30PM for drinks and then around 7:00PM for dinner. Come join the discussions about sailing and other important topics.
The Wet Hens sailing season starts on June 11 with the option of sailing on Wednesday mornings or Thursday evenings (per the Sail Fleet Schedule).
